A megaestrutura na dinâmica de contínuas reconfigurações do espaço universitário

Abstract
Like a living organism, universities are in a continuous process of growth and change. However, there is a lack of debate about new forms of knowledge production, organizational structure and mainly about the consequences of these discussions in higher education. The aim of this article is to encourage debate. It is urgent to illuminate the topic. To this end, we propose an understanding of the configuration of the campus, the predominant territory of higher education, since its origin. The brief review shows the large-scale building, the megastructure, as a possible solution to the problem of isolation between academic buildings and meeting current guidelines for growth, change and social interaction. Finally, the ICC is presented as a case study and model of the contemporary megastructure.
